It all started with frustration—and a love for the water.

Twenty years ago, Geoff, a passionate boater from Gippsland, Victoria, found himself facing a common problem—he couldn’t find quality marine-grade stainless steel gear that could stand up to the Aussie elements. No decent cleats. No solid rod holders. No proper 316-grade anchor swivels. And he wasn’t alone—his mates were running into the same issue.

So, Geoff did what any true boatie would—he fixed the problem himself. He started sourcing the best marine gear he could find and built a business around one simple idea:

“If I wouldn’t trust it on my own boat, I won’t sell it.”

You won’t find every anchor here, or a huge range of fenders, we only sell one brand of Anchor Winch – Lone Star. But you can be sure of quality and if by chance you have an issue we will see it through until everyone is satisfied.

That was in 2006. Since then, Boat Hardware has grown into Australia’s go-to source for reliable, top-quality boat accessories. We’ve shipped over a million products, expanded into a multi-level warehouse, and helped thousands of boat owners across the country gear up for unforgettable days on the water.
